In partnership with Dr. Linda Rayor of the Cornell Naturalist Outreach Program and Carol Jennings of the Park Media Lab at Ithaca College, NYISRI assisted with the production an educational video on the high-priority invasive species Hydrilla verticillata.
The video, titled “Hydrilla Hazard: Biology, Impacts and Management of an Invasive Aquatic Plant” provides a basic overview of the biology and life cycle of hydrilla, focusing on its ability to expand and spread, and emphasizing prevention as the best management for this aggressive species.
