Summary of 2018 CCE In-service: Invasive Species Track

For three days this November, researchers, managers and cooperative extension leaders joined together to explore different invasive species topics. The in-service was coordinated by the New York Invasive Species Research Institute (NYISRI). Topics from this year’s in-service included working dogs for conservation and applications for invasive species, designing successful citizen science programs, biological control agents, and the challenges of developing best management guides. Additionally, the program included a day and a half workshop discussing how to use behavioral psychology to stop invasive species. Attendees included NY Sea Grant, Cornell Cooperative Extension, iMapInvasives, PRISM leaders, NYS Parks, NYS DEC, Engaged Cornell and many others.

The recordings of each presentation can be found at https://www.nyisri.org/resources/webinars-recorded-talks/cce-in-service-2018/.
